I lingered around on last months board, feel a bit humbled in front of you banger gurus but would mind getting in on things.
I'm building a T with a Chev '28 on the T pan and box which is proving an interesting challenge

If you cut me in half I'm running on 4 cylinders so it seems the place to be.

Long been a proponent of friction shocks...however, switched to Armstrong lever shocks from a Sprite ala Limeykid. This is the mockup pattern. image.jpeg

  8. It's a good thing!! It's a diminutive only! It's for identifying the 4 cylinder cars of the later 6 cylinder Chevrolet's!

Ahh I see. It's my way of getting OHV. Can't be doing with spending 2k on an accessory T head. Also think it's way cooler. More rod than speedster

It's been a long ambition to run a traditional on Pendine sands

Here's a couple of shots. The engine is apart waiting for me to get at the rear casting with a grinder. The heads having new valves and blocks having A piston and rods fitted.

The zenith carbs are going on a manifold hopefully being supplied by a fellow HAMBer

And the proposed siting of an A 3 speed behind the T Trans. Haven't decided weather to run the 2 T speeds or leave the bands out and use the straight through gear.

Please strip and inspect the carbs making sure the every details are the same between them. Chevy carbs sometime have differences that make a non-matched pair almost un-tuneable sometimes

Not just jets throat dia as well. I use a pair of Carter YF's and it took a long time to get two carbs that made a set

Checking in for the month. Test drove my coupe yesterday! It ran and drove beautifully. Ended up driving it maybe 10 or 15 miles. Need to drive it much more to find any bugs before the Hill Climb in less than 2 weeks. Only some details left now. Who is going to the Colorado Hill Climb this year?

The car is a grey, a very light grey and the maroon looks almost red. The lighting at the drive in and in my shop make it look lighter than it actually is. Thank you for the compliment!

No need to feel bad about it. Colors always look strange in pictures. I about freaked out when I started spraying the grey and was worried how light it was. The maroon also looked almost red too. hard to determine colors from small paint chips in a book at the paint store.
