Lots of nice cars there especially that woodie. I don't think I've seen one of those before.

I think I might have to start going to this event again! Some great looking cars that are not seen at some of the other more nostalgia focussed events in UK. I hear they had some good bands too - Carlos and the Bandidos even. (I remember the days when the entertainment consisted of Mr Price playing the likes of Benny Hill's 'Ernie'. - I'm still mentally scarred by his commentary).
    Thanks for posting.

When and where does this show happen as I wouldn't mind adding it to my list on my next trip to the UK. Oh and any details on the show that I should know about.
My son got us tickets to the Hayride last trip and we checked that out. I was surprised that it was an entrant only show.

It's certainly worth giving it another try Chris, the event is so large that there's something for everyone! Mr Price is still there and fortunately I didn't hear him playing Benny Hill this year!
It is located at Old Warden, Biggleswade in Bedfordshire Swifty well worth visit see link below
    http://www.shuttleworth.org
It's usually 1st or 2nd weekend in August, keep an eye on the NSRA.org.uk website. Next years event is going to be humungous as it will also be hosting the European Street Rod Nationals. Sunday is show and shine day and open to the public.

Hey Dave thanks for the info. I checked it out and it's held not far from Oxford where I am based. Is this the biggest hot rod event in the UK as there appears to be lots more cars than at the Hayride? BTW I didn't see a pic of the car in your avatar so was it there?

No problem Swifty, it is THE biggest (and best in my opinion) event in the UK and, as I said previously, next years event will also host the European Street Rod Nationals and will be even bigger with a much larger European contingent. I hope you can make it. Yes my coup was there but only just! I had a problem with the shift stick and ended up importing one from a company in Australia - Cube Speed, very nice product. Got it back on the road Saturday and made it there and back with no problems on Sunday.

    Thanks Woodeye!

Thanks, yes there was plenty of wow there, some why?'s and a few WTF's, I have posted what I think would be of most interest on this forum and have plenty more pics if you are still interested.

thanks db, will do. you have a great rod scene in NZ, a work buddy is from NZ and I always ask him to bring back the latest hot rod mags when he's visiting home. He's over there right now so I'm looking forward to catching up with what you guys are up to when he gets back,
    Cheers
