Moving right along. I got a 9+3 kit from Rebel Wire which looking at it now is major overkill. It does make the job a lot easier but I didn't need this amount of extra circuits since my car has no amenities in it. I'll be on the lookout for a cool looking cover for the fuse box. Let the fun begin.

Here's another little video. Wife came home to see it run for the first time...safe to say I was quite happy!

Gotta get this thing road-worthy and reliable for TROG. Got my lodging and ticket squared away. I cut a stock headlight bar and pulled out the oxy-acetylene to bend them. Here's what I ended up with.

Then I threw a bit of this in it and warmed it up for yet another heat cycle to torque the head.

  8. I've seen several cut outside the cups and weld the brackets on them, in order to keep the bar in the center - it gives strength, so the lights doesn't wobble, when driving in the dark. Dunno if it's necessary, but you might wanna test it - maybe even let another drve it, while you ride in a car in front, to see the wobble in the rear view mirror - before throwing the center bar too far away...
I traded for a pair for mounting on the side of the frame (instead of your on-top), but has never mounted them.

After I heated them up and they cooled completely, I stood on one to try and make it bend a little farther and they are solid. I used carriage bolts with Nylocks so they won't wiggle loose. They are quite solid, but I'll check them once I get everything adjusted for the road.

I might give it a go and try to make my own top. I don't own a sewing machine or any of the supplies so that will be tricky. I was thinking of using an off-white canvas with button snaps all the way around so It can pop on and off quickly.

Went for a little cruise this weekend with @leroux to the best bar in Long Beach. The bar would have been 5 years old when my car was built in '29.

Drove 60 miles to get fish tacos and a beer. Then drove 60 miles home. Little banger ran like a champ. Water pump has a tiny leak but other than that, perfect. This is at Neptunes Net in North Malibu.

Got a top made for the old girl. Zig zag sail and canvas in Seal Beach did a great job.

Fun times on Saturday... my cam gear smoked too much meth and lost it's teeth.

@Hitchhiker hub actually snapped off when I was removing the gear. Had to use a gear puller to get the center section off the cam. I'll get that grill on once I get this thing back together!
