Larry is getting close to getting her ready. Looks like Matt did a great job with the paint and body work. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Larry and Matt are working on getting her to Salina for the KKOA Spectacular. Good thing they are young. They are working night and day....
Larry and Matt are working day and night to get the Voodoo Sahara ready for Salina this weekend. Here are some pictures that were posted late last week. Can't wait to see it in person.
I've known Larry since when he was just Larry. He & Dave picked me up in Glen Ellyn, hitch-hiking. Skinny kid with a big pomp, no ink and boundless energy, imagination & drive. He's come a long way from that ol' Plymouth turned roadster. Way to go, Larry!
Voodoo Larry and Matt Murray did a great job getting the Voodoo Sahara to the KKOA Spectacular. If you have the chance you have to see it in person. Lot of over nighters went into the build. I've always wanted to see the Golden Sahara in person and thanks to Larry I can get an idea how kool it was. Voodoo Sahara won the 777 Award which makes it the Kustom Car of the year. He needs to drive it around the Dayton Ohio area for a few days so the owner of the original could get motivated to bring it out.
Ahh-ha!!! Now that I see the roof panels open, I get the "square side window" thing... The interior in this car is spot on period loyal!
Amazing work - the only recognizable Kaiser elements are the instrument cluster and cut-down steering wheel. Well done! By the way, do you guys still have any leftover remains of the Kaiser? A bit O/T but there's a team in NorCal building up a '55 Kaiser for the 24 Hours of LeMons race and their roof is Swiss cheese (among other things).
Saw it in person on Sunday at his open house. Pictures don't do this thing justice. It's presence is astounding! I hope anyone who is a true kustom fan gets a chance to see it in person. The fact that he finished this and the VooDoo Hawaiian within a few weeks of each other is unreal.
For embodying the true spirit of customizing, I way prefer tribute-cars to clones. This one's a home run!
i really like how it looks right here, would look like an awesome convertible, i would also have it come down and look like a '59 Cadillac rear. with the front similar to a '57 Lincoln Premier. I absolutely respect and have wonder for his work on the car. its just how i would re-imagine it.
