Haha you've got that right. I'm trying not to take it out and start driving it before everything's complete. Still needs door panels and front seat backrests. Keeps me motivated. You taking the Buick there?

Are those stock headlight bezels that have been frenched into the fenders? Aftermarket kit? Custom?

    Love your ride!

Cool old JC Whitney one piece hood trim. You don't see many of those anymore!

I wondered how good the Frenched factory bezels would look. I love it!

Can they be welded directly to the fenders? Didn't know you could weld stainless to regular steel..

I read somewhere that you drag the puddle from the fender into the bezel.

  21. Nice Pontiac. I saw that at the field werks show at the Ludlow Elks on Sunday. I was there with my '39 Plymouth coupe. It didn't really fit in with all the other cars lol.

    The Chevy is looking great.

Hey thanks man. It's a great driver. Saw your Plymouth. That's a cool car. Atleast there were a few of us there haha. Hopefully have the Chevy on the road real soon

Little update. It's been one step forward two steps back lately. Cars been smoking quite a bit so I'm currently pulling the engine for a rebuild unfortunately. But here's a picture for the hell of it. Still working on making a piece of trim for the fender but that's the least of my worries right now.

  24. Looks good man. That's unfortunate with the motor but at least you have the Pontiac to cruise while you keep at the Chevy. I've been having lots of set backs with my Plymouth too. Seems like every time I go to drive it something else pops up that needs fixing. I guess it's just the nature of the beast driving these old things. Keep after it.

Thanks man. Ya I'm trying to sell it to fund the projects since winter is coming. Ya that's definitely how it goes, things are old and the cars havnt been driven in a long time.

So everything's out and I'm going through and cleaning and painting everything in the bay. anyone know a good place to get parts for the rebuild? Or have a good 235 that's ready to run in the area? I'll be at the stafford swap meet in a couple weeks too.

Picked up a new 235 today. Spent some time and got it running in the truck and then pulled it so I know it's good. Going to go through and clean it up and new gaskets.

Mitch, I really love you Chevy.... it's a great looking mild custom... Also, I'm not a 4 door fan, but the Pontiac looks cool. It's amazing how much styling GM put into Pontiacs... A car brand that I think is under appreciated....
