Wow, I go right through there every afternoon. I know the area pretty well. The pic of Ron looks like I might have met him somewhere sometime. Hope everything works out OK for them.
I had the big one in 1978 and I survived. My blood runs cold when I see these posts, best wishes to all for a good outcome.
Many here may know that Ron and I just completed a 6000 mile trip to L.A.roadster show he then went to Iowa ,Illinois, , Columbus and home ..Ron is a True Hotrodder and very good friend ..At this time he needs all the prayers that can be prayed...He is in a medical coma, last night surgery was done on his right femur and one finger... I will give any updates as is past by his wife to me....
Thank you. I followed his trip on Instagram, and just saw him and his roadster in person a couple of weeks ago, when he passed through here. Heck of a nice guy....I sure wish the best for everyone involved. This is our worst nightmare.....my son and I both drive hot rods every day, and at 20 years old, I'm still preaching at him constantly about driving defensively. I'm especially happy that the little girls are going to be fine, because I know that's all Ron would care about right now. We're pulling for him, and it will make my day when I hear that he's home.
I would like to thank austinrod for starting this thread...Please read complete post..We here are all HOTRODERS ......Ron Hickman , hotrod3w here on HAMB , needs all the prayers that we can pray...I know everyone here isn't on Facebook ,but for the ones that are a group called ... RON HICKMAN A TRUE HOTRODER... has been created .Please visit/ join ..Ron;s family and his many friends can see all post.. This by no means is to drew anyone from HAMB , its only for support of the family ..Thanks for listening to my rant...
I was out on the road doing what Ron always done (driving my deuce to an event) when I received the bad news about this wreck. Made me sick when I got the news. I have logged many miles running with Ron and he is one hell of a road warrior. He loved driving across country in his deuces. When I seen him in Des Moines he had logged over 10K miles in his roadster in the month of June alone. I was glad to hear when I got home his grand daughters are doing OK. Sending prayers out to him and his family.
Prayers and good wishes to Ron, his grand daughters, and the rest of his family. They all need our prayers.
My prayers go out for Ron and his family. Looks to me like he and the girls already had angels around them.
Ron is about the same , has had a couple set backs ,,Doctors are working to get him to next level before more treatment....
