This is one I drew for my best friend in high school. He drove a 58 Chevy. I used Roth's Rebel Chevy as inspiration. He still owns his 58! I drew this in 1969. Thanks Ron...

 

I was able to meet Ed , at Carlisle Pa. He was one of the nicest persons. He let me hang out with him all afternoon.{ Like he had any choice } ha. ha. I new he was going to be there selling tee shirts. I took my daughter, she was two at the time. I had built her this pedal car, that I pulled her around in. I got to make a 8mm movie of Ed telling my daughter, that she had the coolest Rod at the show. He than autographed it for us. I need to find it and have pictures made for you guys. Or it didn't happen. lol this photo wasn't taken at that show. Ron...

I thought I'd do something a little different this week. There's another thread on HAMB that talks about what has ever become of some of the old custom cars that were around back in the day. One of the cars that was brought up in the discussion was a custom that was being built by Larry Watson in the 60's called "Space Age" that was based on a 1961 Ford Econoline Pick-Up truck. According to an article in Custom Car Chronicle, it was never completed and most likely went to the crusher. The article did have some pictures of the build in its early stages and gave enough detail to get a pretty good idea of what the finished project might look like. Great show so far!!

My "final installment" on my Indian tribute Elgin bike build. I finished the build and took it down to a railroad warehouse in the historic district of town for some completed shots.





I built the springer fork using an old Schwinn/Ashtabula fork, pieces of a scrap Model A front spring and mechanical brake components. The strut rods are actuator rods and the rockers are the bell cranks for the brake arm at the spindle.



This may not be COMPLETELY on topic, but at least it does include traditional stripes and vintage car parts!!

 

Oh my, what a great start. I wish I had some talent other than being able to appreciate what you guys do. Thanks for sharing with us.
