I had never seen one of these except for a picture posted on here a long time ago. But I finally found one at the Swap at the Meltdown Drags this last weekend. Courtesy of Continental John from Chicago it is now sitting on my workbench. There was not description on the picture from the HAMB so I goggled it with no results. WHAT THE HELL IS IT ????????????? Besides being very cool, the picture showed it being used as a fuel block but what is the brass thing at the top with a hole in the flat end for. Any help identifying this critter would be appreciated. Thanks BB
If it's not a ray-gun, maybe it helps prevent vapor-lock. Whatever it is, it proves that fins make anything cool.
Hi Bob I found one last month at a swap meet. As we were all questioning what it was a guy identified as a exhaust gas analyzer pick up The top tube with the flat end slides into the tail pipe with the lower piece (bent end) keeping tension on the pipe. The exhaust gas would cool passing through before reaching analyzer I need to clean mine
Hey, that makes perfect sense to me, I still think it looks better as a Fuel block on the firewall, maybe in front of a 3 hole fuel block from Elco. BB
