They are running this weekend at the lake, right now. Instead of "Those were the days". You should be making these the days.

It says prewar, and none of the cars look newer than '40 , but did they have belly tanks before WW II ?

Great video and music, thanks for posting

That was definitely pre war! upspirate, you might have confused Bob Ruffi's streamliner with a tank, but I didn't see any belly tanks in there. Danny Saki's modified, the Blair Bros. Goat, Earll Bruce's '40, Tommy Lee's Kurtis/Cord nosed roadster, and and I think the same owner's Bugatti as well. I can't remember the name associated with the 265 '32 hiboy, but I want to say Hank Negly. The Caruther's modified, too.

I've always wonder who was in the Bugatti, kinda aristocratic looking.

I agree, but that's easier said than done when you live almost 3000 miles away and are 78! I know what "dry slick" feels like from my dirt track days here on red GA clay, so I figger that's gotta be a hairy ride on those dry lake beds at speed.

At 3:50, are they looking at a rolled 1940 Ford?
The roof looks kind of wonky.

On our way to Vegas in '09 I decided to tale a side trip to Harper dry lake. At the end of the road we (my brotherinlaw) and I were met by a military armed guard who told us that we couldn't pass because their was a plane wreck on the lake. We said "OH YEAH" we know about the FLYING SAUCERS. THAT'S WHERE THEIR KEEPING THEM NOW! Can't fool us. He didn't crack a smile as he turned us around.
