Event Coverage The YAY-HOO Cup has a new custodian and RollCall

If you don't follow the HAMB Drags Forum this is news to you. So just so you know the YAY-Hoo Cup has a different Custodian O' The Cup™.

I personally want to invite all who are driving and racing at this year's HAMB Drags to be a Contender for the Cup™.

You are already there, you are already racin', what have you got to loose?

Your chances of winning are just as good as the next guys. The cup has been won by everything from 10 second cars to 12 second cars. Anyone can run a 12.

The rules are simple and we don't foresee any rule changes in the years to come. We want to keep it simple, its all about having a goodtime.

Here are the rules:

• Gotta drive your car to the event (at least 150 miles) ( this is on the honor system)

• Gotta sign up to be a contender

• Gotta update the sign-up sheet with your ET info... have the slip handy, just in case

• The quickest pass by a contender is deemed that year's Cup Champion

• The champ gets their name added to The Cup

• The champ also (eventually) gets a dash plaque to commemorate the victory... but we admit that we're backlogged on these

Sign up starts Friday Night if you can find me. or sign up at the track but you must sign up prior to your first pass. There is no charge, you are already paid up to race. (Bribes are accepted )

We are trying to arrange a trinket this year to commemorate your participation so if you intend to play it would be nice if you let us know here. Trash talking is totally solicited.

Cool I'm in! Unfortunately as I type this I believe I'm already beat...

 

Reading all these posts makes me grieve that we're not going to make it this year. We just moved back in March so all of our summer plans went out the window with that. We are however going to be at the Hotrod Revival in Julesburg, Colorado that very same weekend. It's only a 4 hour drive as opposed to 12. Easier to do when you have to be back to work on Monday. Hopefully see you all next year.

Trust me you are never beat in the Yay-Hoo Cup. Its never done until its done. I am watching for the year that a naturally aspirated flatty wins. it'll happen.

You get settled in and we'll be waiting to see you when you can make it. if I die before you get here the Pharos will run it ( I am pretty sure).
