Also spent the week dialing in the suspension so hopefully it'll drive better this weekend. Polished the lips on the Americans and put dual regulators on it

 

That regulator plumbing is a work of art
Still scratching my head on that one.

How did you like the straight shift?

 

It took me a few passes to get used to the throw from 3-4 being way shorter than 1-2 but its nice otherwise. I think i will like it even better as i really get used to it.

 

You switch trans?

 

First time Marc drove the '56, he double clutched 4th, thought he had miss shifted cause of the short 3-4 throw.

 

That's funny Rick, bc i did the exact same thing. I was already gun shy and when I shifted to high gear i immediately pushed the clutch back in bc i thought i had missed a gear

 

Yeah, i was having some trouble with my old one so i decided to swap to a side shift trans that looked more period correct

What rate springs did you go with??

 

I ended up with 120 or 130lb i cant really remember, I would like to have some 100, 150, and 200 to try as well

 

did they compress to 8"?

 

I got the longer ones i think. They are like 14" or something and compress to 10 or so

pretty decent footage of us in the video. You will have to ignore the bracket cars with the 2steps, they weren't part of our group. The track had a bracket race the same day as a filler for us between rounds, but hopefully next year as we keep growing we can have just our show at all the tracks we visit
