Less build threads/technical threads then the early days. It seems the demographic has changed quite a bit which changes the direction of the content etc.
Builds/technical info is the reason I used to subscribe to magazines. Its what I look for on this forum.
You know I can't weigh in on tech week as I don't pay enough attention to recall the last one but there are a huge amount of build threads going on. The forum still moves fairly quick however so if your only here occasionally and looking at the first few pages there's plenty your probably missing. You also need to account for the seasonal change. Every year someone mentions something similar to this, no build thread up dates or no posts from so and so. Thing is it's spring/summer and they are either in full thrash mode to get on the road and aren't updating or I believe the majority are out having fun with old cars while the weather alows and aren't posting up on the internet.
Yes it seems to have died down. The last one had good entries but a very small percentage of the HAMB bothered to vote. It was still fun .
here is the last one. it was fun! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/so-do-you-guys-like-tech-week.993094/
I have some killer ideas for the next tech week. Maybe in the fall when summer is over. Or the spring like last time. One really good tech week per year is better than three lame ones.
I've got one future entry about half way done, thanks for the motivation, I just may finish it and make more room around here. Bob
We can try that again in the fall. It was pretty damn good. That Tech week started from a post much like this one and was grassroots awesome. Here is the post that started oct 2015 tech week. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/sure-could-use-a-tech-week.992250/
all thanks to you for getting the ball rolling. i wonder if there are any other sites/forums that can do that? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/october-2015-tech-week-is-on.992359/
