I'll get you a pic but you're going to be disappointed, because they are decals. They did a nice job and you have to look close to tell. The glass is right it's rounded like factory.

David brought the Studebaker back to my shop today for final adjustments and you ain't going to believe what he was toeing with. And old Studebaker truck, wish I would have better pics but he was done gone when I realized the pics were bad but you can still see how cool it was. We plan to go testing next week I'll get some better pics of the car and maybe a video. IMG_0558.jpg IMG_0560.jpg IMG_0562.jpg

David had the car at the Tri-State Studebaker meet in Maggie Valley, North Carolina this week end and if you folks think it looks cool in these pictures, it looks even better in person. It was great to see it and talk to David about this beautiful car.

X2, can't wait to see it at Greer, the SEG is really top notch and hopefully will be getting national attention soon.
The last debut "boogeyman " has really raised the bar.... AGAIN I CANT WAIT TILL GREER

Oh yea turned out perfect went down the track about 4 or 5 times last year. It's probably one of the best gassers I have ever built body and chassis wise for racing, but it looks like to me it's going to end up a show car.

I know but it kills me to see a good car like that becoming an asphalt anchor. And your right I am proud of it.

Maybe after a show car season or 2 he'll pound on it... Can only hope.
I was talking sponsorship from a car care company but it fell through due to the paint quality and current condition of the Scout. I had mixed feelings on that... I lost some financial and product support but at the same time the reason for the current condition was because I've been pounding on it for the last 5 years... I'm ok with that

I'm at that stage now, want the car to look as bitchin' as possible but want to drive it a whole lot more!! I'll have to find that nirvana in the middle!

Thanks WillyB, glad you enjoyed it. I want to do a build thread on the 61 vette I just finished but this Southeast gasser deal is growing out of control so I'm working with it every spare second I have.

'Splain your steering column por favor. What keeps it from spearing the driver in a crash?

Come on out we have 30 era correct gassers pre entered and 2 A/FX cars going to match race. Also Moonshiner Josh Owens from the TV show is going debut his new 1953 chevy gasser in the C/G class.

Word just in the 51 Studebaker of David Walker is coming out and will be running at the Southeast Gasser race coming up April 29th at Shady Side Dragway in Shelby NC. 58 4 speed gassers that fit the very strict SEGA rules are already pre entered. Should be the biggest Gasser race the world has ever seen.

Hoping to make it out again next race, gonna try to hit at least 5 races this year. I've been noticing the last few SEG events seem to end later. With almost 60 cars I hope they start &(finish) earlier like they did a few years ago. We usually drive there and back right after, rather than staying overnight since my wife teaches Sunday School.
