Thanks Quentin. I always enjoy your event coverage.

  8. Thanks, last Mid America.....in fact last NSRA event I attended was Mid America in Sioux Falls in 1986. That was about the most horrible place for an event EVER. I see why they moved it. I always dug the Springfield grounds

Thanks for taking a look guys. I always appreciate everyone that takes the time to click on my link and look at all my photos.

Sorry you weren't able to attend. The good news is this event will be back in Springfield next year.

No problem. Did you get to see Martin? He came down on Saturday.

I agree I feel that the Springfield fairgrounds is a good place to hold a big car show. Seems like 2200+ cars is about the limit for this grounds. The only fairgrounds that I think is nicer is the Fairgrounds in Des Moines where GoodGuys holds their show.

Quentin, I did get to visit with Martin. I also chat with him most every Sunday at church. He travels down to the farm almost every weekend.

Quentin...Thanks for coverage, good to know there is large participation back there in Midwest!
Good eye on focusing on the little channeled pickup.
At first glance looked like an 'A'...but is obviously a cut down sedan, with its namesake grille shell.

Atwater Mike, I think the gold pickup began life as a Chrysler sedan. It got an award on Sunday. The guy that drives it wowed the crowd when he got out and stood up to accept the award. He is well over 6' tall.
