Oh,come on Tony....Except for the missing tooth (and possible missing left eye),I think she looks like a fine candidate to do some parade laps in the Quick n Dirty....You can provide the "Quick",and she can provide the....well....Hepatitis.lol!

PLEASE...someone get us back on "TRACK"!
I am testing the Austin this weekend (60' launches). I am trying to get a feel for how far I need to let the Shaker go before launching the Austin to make it a good race!;) THERE that ought to do it!:p:p:p

I should get the Okie Doker back running this weekend. The car hasn't been down the track since the carnage at last years Meltdown. Hopefully everything goes as planned!

You had to knock all it's teeth out with a hammer, and drill a dozen 2" holes in it's face just so it didn't throw up all over itself while you were idling around a parking lot for a week and a half......What ever gave you the idea that thing is even gonna stay together for 1320feet under full throttle, let alone get around the Shaker?
Cause I guarantee you're not gonna leave on me with that thing.

I'll be surprised if the Austin only travels 60 ft to get to the 60 ft timer! ;)

Agreed Marcus....I think that things gonna be a bit of a handful with all that torque and that short wheelbase.
I'm betting we see the driver's side of that thing from the starting line 3 or 4 times per pass.
Hang on bud....She's gonna be a wiiiiiiild ride!

I didn't say what direction! We actually have a large pool going around here on how many degrees from center 15 at a time left and right that she will go. I have 75 degrees left and 60 right! :p

    Funny story.Its 11:00 am here,and I still haven't slept since last night's shift.
Went to the junkyard to pick up a pulley for the Shaker, and lo and behold, there sits the future Shaker Hauler.
A Ford Cabover fire truck with a 391FT (it's just fancy talk for a 390 truck motor with a good block,a Holley carb, and a highly coveted steel crank.)
Going back on Monday to talk to the owner about what it's gonna take to get this behemoth into my hands.
    Pictures on Monday:)

    Ps:
I already have the proper pulley coming, courtesy of my Meltdown Brother AJ,but wanted to grab a local backup in case the postal service gave me the shaft.

I was thinkin' the same thing as I was reading it, glad Scott clarified! Since it's a motor designation, is that a factory rating for how far they will travel before breaking??? (Sorry Scott! It just came to me as I was typing man...)

Well my small block really hasn't been coming together so fast, it's sat dormant for about a month now with no progress down at the shop. I was beginning to think that the car wouldn't make it out of the garage this year, let alone to the race. But luckily for me I've got a father who supports and helps me out when the going gets rough. So thanks to him I've now got this big rat to try and stuff in my chevy within the next 7 weeks. 20160526_193938.jpg

    John-

It's the same motor from last year. I had to have the trans rebuilt as it was messed up. So new tranny, driveshaft and rear end.
