Im pretty sure you cant run hubcaps when you drag race. The Nomad needs a set of steel wheels to make it look like a drag car. Nice build though.

  2. Thanks everyone for your post this week. I just got home from the Jalopy Show down in Pa. A very rainy weekend. There is always a lot of cool old dirt track race cars there. so I thought I would post a couple old Dirt track cars that I built. I found these larger 1930s Dick Tracy Style police cars years ago. I built them as stockers. Fun builds. 035.jpg 034.jpg

Just because it's a gasser doesn't mean it's a drag car.. Lol. No I know. The fronts are only being held on with Elmer's so when I find a pair of wheels I like I can swap them quickly.

Found an old friction powered diecast 53 Chevy Convertible in one of my misc. boxes. Got bored the other night so I cut up a piece of metal for a top and skirts and JB welded them to the car. I then nosed and decked the body, did a little more reshaping with my dermal tool and files, found a 99cent can of paint, made some lake pipes and put the 53 back together. Now instead of sitting in a box, maybe it will find a home on one of the toy shelves.
