Gammz you would probably fit in the HOT ROD class that is the street car class and most of the cars in that class are 13 seconds and slower, The fun part of this race is finding some one that is running the same times you are, or pairing your self with a friend and grudge racing.

The Meltdown is a drag meet, not a competition. We do have classes so that the right types of cars are racing each other. You will get classed following tech inspection. We ask everyone to find someone (or more) that runs a similar time and match race each other all weekend.

No bracket racing, no pro tree, no whining!

Most people who attend have the time of their life as it is a no pressure event and without having all of the competition everyone gets along and the egos stay at home.

600 registered cars can't be wrong!

    Hope that helps

I had a blast with my inline 6 Chevy II a few years back and had some great side by side high 15 second races, it was a blast!!

See, that's the problem with you guys. If your not running your asses off putting on one of the greatest events in the Midwest, your in the pits tipping a cold one back and talking about how fast your car could go if it was all together. LOL If you were paying attention you would have seen at the Hunnert, that the GTO is now at 12.42. By the way, I wasn't talking about testing and tuning the GTO.

You and Norb are both gonna be eating your words.
I've got the lovely Miss Cassandra fabbing up another batch of tombstone decals for my trunk lid.
I'll have to buy a trailer to put them all on,cause it looks like I'm gonna run out of room in a hurry

Well I'll just have to find you at meltdown and be that annoying kid that lives next door and ask all kinds of things about your falcon.

I could use some of your tuning magic if you're just going to setting and watching James...!

And for the record,I'd like to see the rest of you Jokers set your watch correctly, let alone assemble an engine and basically re-restore a car while you were working the hours I was working,on nights, for roughly 4 months.

I kinda like the way things worked out, actually, cause now I don't feel rushed at all,the motor will just drop right in after its tuned in the dyno..
All the hard work is done,I'm just waiting to enjoy the view of you knuckleheads in my rear view mirror.

Stage that smoke wagon and see what happens!

Not exactly sure who this is directed at, Zettle got me goin' with the line from Tombstone...

Maybe Tony since he called us out...who else wants some of Yesterday's Chili???

Gotta be careful callin' other cars smoke wagons, ours had the skeeters on the run 2 years ago and we still have the same pump gas 410 in it with the same light oil ring!
