Better oil the valve springs before you fire it.

Make sure you use one of those cheap Harbor Freight drills...a real one might damage that Ford pump....they usually don't get spun that hard. Lol!

I think you might be a little confused....

What you meant to say was "....that Ford won't have to spin that hard to crush my Austin..."

    ;)

You still want to squirt some oil on them.

He did have a reeeeeeally nice 54 Merc pickup (cause we had those in Canada) in his shop when I was there.
354Hemisphere powered, built back in the very early 60's,redone to a much higher level recently by the gentleman that's getting me out of this jam with my motor.

Nice Gammz... Glad to see that somebody on this thread has their car ready for some test n tune...

Scott- how is that motor coming? You have less than 9 weeks now buddy.

Here in the states when someone is gonna have a baby many times the friends and family of the expectant mother will do a little "due date pool" where everyone puts in $20 and guesses the date the baby will be born... The person closest gets the cash... We started one of those for the Shaker... Now your buddies like Big Slim guessed early July. Ron with the Charger guessed November 4th... Art with the Sour Grape (now called Purple Rain) guessed August ... Of 2017..,, I guessed July 24th... Ric's guess was Yesterday...

    Keep us posted buddy

Best light of the night was a .081 I think. I'd have to look at my slips. That run against the truck was a .111.
She's running 9.50-9.60 pretty consistent. This is all 1/8 mile around here. It don't leave as hard as it looks. The 60ft times are 2.11 or so. Shitty!!!
I'm pretty damn happy with it for what it is. All stock 302. Stock torque converter and 3.50 gears out back. And 215/65r15 tires!! Like I've said before. I'm now on the other side of the fence racing and not wishing I was And my son and I built the whole damn thing. Not to bad for our very first project ever. In couple weeks my boy will get some seat time. He's super stoked!!! And I'm super stoked to see the little shit drag this unit.

Oh, I wouldn't worry about whether or not the Shaker is up and running. There are others on here that have been doing some test and tune. The Okie Doker might have it's hands full.

Don't worry Jeff. We'll be there with the car this year.
I bet we get the motor in the Shaker before the Oinky Doinker has a motor in it.

And I talked to Fred this morning. The "repairs" on the intake are completed, just waiting on my buddy Ron for the carbs.
Here's the state of the carbs over the last few days:

Hey guys. How do they run the drags at meltdown? Is it just show up. No classes? Bracket? Heads up? Time classes? I really don't care, more curious than anything. If I remember correctly a guy I saw in a southeast gassers video said its not the times you run. It's how many times you run. Or something like that. I'm sure he's a hamber. So feel free to correct my dumb ass
