    1. If my name was Gene Kirkwood I would be at your door for that Corvette!
    2. As the owner of a C-1 & C-2 numbers cars for the past 49 years you have created a true masterpiece I love it!
    3. We need more hot rod Corvettes!!!

Here's a shot taken last summer by my friend Mike Harrington. Just out for a quiet drive in the country. 12063511_1641949122755277_6722310677196808879_n.jpg

  8. No offence but too bad the car looks like it's going down hill and it's not!
    Especially that it's a gasser!!!
    Killer car tho..

Tony M you may want to check that pic again the pic is slanted the car has a nose up stance...

  11. Dooley,
That's what I was commenting on.
It appears to be a Pro shot,
    and has a watermark.
Yet the obvious horizon should be flat
and it isn't! Then the nosebleed stance would be right.
For a pro that is a no no not holding the camera square
to the horizon! He ruined a perfect
shot that anyone with a Brownie could
    have gotten right!
Oh, you probably ( yes the correct spelling!) don't know
what a Brownie is!.. or maybe you do!!!

The photographer was going for an artistic shot. I'd have tilted the camera the opposite direction, but I understand what they were doing.

  15. LOL its a Johnny Cash Corvette, gotta love it. I'll bet you get the concourse judges scratching their heads or you could. ;)

OK after much consternation I am thinking you screwed up a perfectly good car, you really needed to graft one of thses front ends on it. LOL

I really like what you have done with the old car by the way, you got it in spades my friend. ;)

Great build!!! I don't know if anyone is still following the postings but I just noticed it and wondered if the roll bar also ties into the frame? Any detailed pictures would be greatly appreciated. I always liked the movie because it also featured the 1961 Plymouth - one of the ugliest cars of all time but a special to me because it was my first car.

The roll bar bolts into the soft top frame mounts behind the seats. Curious as to how you came across an old post like this, it must be buried 100 pages back by now.

This is pure awsome! Good job! Nice to something other than a TLB or Milner clone for a change.

Awesome build. Love the car and movie (even with the over acting by the characters).
