Not really related to this thread except it's a Falcon. Here is my Dad's '60 from 1967-1970. SBF with a Super T-10.

By the looks of the top secret spy video, Southern Flyer looks to be ready to kick some ass this year!! Your A/Gas right?! (whew!)

 

Yeah, I'm running A/gas. Hopefully with all the weight out and some small block ford horsepower about dialed in i can run up front with the faster cars

 

You have the car looking so good now, and its legal weight, i think you would be crazy to get rid of it! Just my .02 cents, ps, hope to be there at the opener to watch. My car has quite a ways to go (I went back to school....long story) But i wanted to at least attend the race, so i may see this beast fly!

 

first race of the year went well! Record fan turnout and no one hit the wall, at least not hard. Falcon received a small racing stripe on the drivers rear quarter panel from a close encounter with the wall about 100' from the starting line. I'll try to get a video up soon.

 

Good to hear theres not a lot of damage!!

It was a record crowd but I haven't got the date as to how far back. We had already set the record back to 1981 in the fall. I'm thinking we went a little farther back this time. I know for sure it was several hundred fans over last time.
The cool part is the fact that we was the only show advertised to be there. Unlike the big shows where there is something going on all day. This way we know the crowd is there to see us not us going to where the crowd is going to be already.

 

Kim and I were standing in the grass right across from where you kissed the wall. I saw gold dust in the air when you touched it. We thought it was going to be bad but when you came down the return road looked like it never hit. Glad that turned out that easy.

 

The good thing about stuff like that is u know a guy that can fix it

Enloe I had every intention of coming back and hanging out with you but they ran me crazy all day. Hope you enjoyed the race and sold a lot of magazines.

 

I sold some but my son didn't get to come last year and he got to this year and he had a ball.
We will see you in Knoxville and Chattanooga this year if everything goes according to plan
He did get a SEG T-shirt so he was really happy
