  1. Something about that body style begs for flames...

  2. ^^^ both look great, but I'm a sucker for flames.
Although my thoughts are, it looks great as it is without anything.

Seriously, I wouldn't do anything to that truck other than lower it.

  5. I love the hood on. Damnit. I need to make a hood now.

Some great ideas, I do like the plain but those scallops look quite nice

Thats really cool. My wife would love that. two more tweaks if you dont mind. The bed rail top black (I have a spray in liner) and the rear wheel if off center, throwing me off.

Yea I know, thats why I havent done it. I wanted to see some ideas cause I would hate to paint it and then not like it as much. Hey, would you darken that green a bit and leave the runnign board and bed rail black. Thanks a ton!

I have a person that would like me to build a truck like mine in Wimbledon white with chrome, hubcaps, whitewall tires, hood lid( no sides) bed cover, and black headers
Can someone do their magic to help see the vision?
    Thank you, Todd

  16. Since you are on the fence, and also understand that you can never get it back - but want something new with color, why not consider some pinstriping in the colors you want, get some nice thick lines down and enjoy that for awhile?

Its an easy skill to learn but very difficult to master. I ended up with most of my shop striped at one point practicing, but I think its a great compromise.

Here is something on an old bucket of mine

008.JPG I would love it if someone could show my 50' Packard lowered and with some nice mags or chrome reverse wheels.
    Thanks, Tom

I'm liking that, thanks. I'm wondering how it would be without the wide whites and mags? It looks so much better low like that. It's sitting pretty high right now. I was thinking maybe lower profile tires. You are a talented guy. Wish I could do that.

    Tom,
Have you thought of doing your Packard as a custom? These big bodies lend themselves to an early custom look. I did a version which is chopped and lowered, but keeping the conservative Packard theme. The wheel covers are 1952-or so Packard sombreros and the side trim shortened like the later models. I reworked the grille and bumpers, too.

That looks great, too, but it's a little more work than I can put into it, at this point.
    Thanks, Tom
