I'd guess (and certainly hope) his Brother Jimmie has it. He has quite a stable of really nice Custom cars. SRV was great. Saw him in the early 80's. One of the best live shows I've seen.
I don't think that was ever Stevie's car, Gary Howard built that for Jimmie. Jimmie drove it to the St. Ignace car show in the early 90's and was staying at the same motel as we were. Beautiful car, I am sure he still has it.
Saw Stevie in the mid-80s. I was mesmerized, in a surreal state, the entire concert! Does Jimmie still have a 35 ford 3w in his stable? He drove the flatty from Austin to the 2005 LA roadster show and back. The car was pictured at the South Austin Speed shop opening in Oct. '05.

I was working in my garage on my avatar when on the radio I heard the news of the helicopter crash. Etched in my mind forever. Bill
Rock n roll and hot rod just go together. I was a young carpenter installing wood shakes on a two story house when I heard about S.R.V. I still remember to this day the D.J. coming on the radio telling the news while he was crying. Man what a sad day for a music lover.
