I posted in January about my 36 pickup. (post 143) I didn't have the truck home yet. It was alot of work but we got the truck out of the woods and on my trailer.

That is a good truck and it has held up very well inspite of being stored outside. You were lucky to get it. What are your plans for it?

Not sure, street\strip style. 327 and powerglide and I might take the dana 60 out of my 55 chevy and put in the truck plus add a full cage.

Sounds interesting, keep us posted on your progress. Also are there any Willys parts that you are looking for? You better start looking for parts if there are any that are not reproduced because I have a friend that has been looking for Willys model 77 parts and they are not easy to find. Some are reproduced by Willys Replacement Parts in California or Rolands Rod shop in Washington.

Certainly not trying to hijack the thread but I noticed on the hood of this Willys the name Skibsted Headers. My old room mate from back in the days had a gasser style '50 Chevy with headers that had a tag that read Skibsted Headers. We always wondered who, what and where the headers came from, they were exceptionally nice.
    Anyone know anything?

Skipsted (not sure of his first name) was from Pasadena, Ca. He lived not far from Blairs Speed Shop. I don't recall how we got referred to him, but he worked out of his backyard garage and did custom headers for us. When we changed our SBC to a 427 Chevy, he built a set of headers that tucked inside the frame rails (like modified production cars of the day). He was a craftsman. Hope this helps. Dick M.

  16. Damm Tony, That Little Truck turn out so sweet, don't mean to be a copy cat but I believe that is the way I would have set it up myself. To bad it's so far to the Black Hills here in SD, would be great to see it at our big show. Kool Deadwood Night. Have Fun and enjoy.

Block sanding sure makes a mess of everything around the car...!! Done blocking for the second time, might have to put paint on it now...

Is this the truck Kiwi was working on or was that someone else's. Did you have a tread on this truck? Thanks, Dick

A few shots of my current Willys. Built in the Fisk garage of Ark City, KS back in the 60's. Recently rebuilt. Now a show worthy car that will dip into the 8 second range for 1320 feet of wide open throttle.

I also own the Henry J that Alan raced. I bought it first, but not directly from them. Alan spotted it on HAMB and contacted me. A couple years later, he noticed I owned the Willys. I had no idea it came from the same shop. What a coincidence.
