Art & Inspiration Sitting and Rotting.............picture thread

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Royalshifter, Jan 31, 2009.

  1. peanut, I used to think the same thing. Then I realized it's a good thing that a lot of these cars do still exist. They weren't crushed, or destroyed. So it is our job to help save them. We can't build them all, but we can help find them good homes. This thread helps with that. I hate seeing the rusting too, but they can be saved, It just takes time and money. I have helped to save a lot of them. And I feel good about that. Does anyone need a good project just let me know. Ron...

  6. That 20 Caddy would make a bitchin Hotrod. Run it highboy style, sitting low, with a chopped windshield and a flathead Caddy motor.

I wish the owner would sell the model A coupe, I would be interested. The 1940 Chevy looks a little better than mine ;)

Yes, and the Galaxie 500 convertable is next to the Chevy, and a Charger Convert next to it. There is a pretty rotted Roadrunner just outside the barn. The owner did try to put them under cover.

I was given quotes for some of them, but they seem to be on and off the market depending on how he feels. He wants all the money when quotes. If interested I can inquire. He just sold a 39 Lincoln Zephyr that I didn't think he would part with.

  17. "Charger Convert"? Never saw one of those except at a custom car show. Must have been a Coronet.

  23. Looks like it's slowly turning into soil. Citrus would grow great in that kind of soil.

I couldn't find anything "on topic" rotting in the hood but I found one "off topic" that the owner says is not for sale and that he will restore it. That was 10 years ago when I last asked him. If you know the 'couve, you know this car, it has been sitting there shamefully rotting for a couple of decades now. RIP Mach (rust into pieces)

  25. I thought I knew the 'couve well but I never came across this mess. Where is it?

Hey Bomb, technically it is outside Vantucky. If you golf at Cedars on Salmon Creek golf course in brush prairie you drive right past it. It sits on the corner that you take to get to the course. The corner of 159th street and 152nd avenue. Just around the corner from my home course, the Prairie Tavern.

  27. Billy, I've been by there a bunch of times but not to golf. I guess the car is a bit tucked away from street view. This guy has always had a bunch of cars parked around the yard.
    Thanks.
