Hummmm, me thinks this is the start of something with high expectations.

  3. Obviously your standards are higher than mine which is why your photographs look great and my look like my 9 year did half of them, but that video looks pretty dam good to me for the test! those things are not easy to fly and the footage was very smooth for a test run. I can guarantee that I would have flown it into the wall with in 30 seconds of flight. looking forward to see what else you come up with using your new gadget!

Veddy cool! From the reflection it looks like a DGI Phantom. Friend just got one last week and he has already crashed it into 2 trees, a fence and the TV while playing with it. Should be good for some interesting shots.

  5. Looks to me like you can fly it pretty well. Nice video, the straight down overhead views are dramatic and not something you normally see.

  6. I like it a lot. I also am devious enough to want one to fly into those junk yards and back yards where the owner isn't co-operating.

There's just something about a video in movement that a drone provides. It actually gives you a feeling you are actually there. Pretty cool.

Cool man I think it will be a tool that you can really get a lot out of. Looking forward to seeing what it brings.....just imaging the test drive shots you could get...

  9. very cool.
    the music even "droned".

  10. If you install an overhead steel I beam .... you can get a more traditional, antique overhead style rotational camera boom .... and with your affinity for old cameras, watches and other coolness ... I know you'd like it. :) You could use the drone to write us a cool article about it. Cool vid.

  11. Looks pretty good to me. Just don't fly it into a freshly painted fender or anything.

Someone is likely to use it for target practice if you try that here where I live.

I think it's an excellent idea. It obviously opens the door to previously unavailable perspectives.

On a side note, the music made me think of "Office Space".

  24. Not too bad for a beginners flight, Ryan.
But your statement about complacency I like even more. Sometimes it can be hard to push yourself to leave the comfort zone and to go the extra mile instead. No pain no gain

Almost as smooth as a boom, with no boom constraints.
    Keep flying.

Neato'. Which 'drone' did you get? If you don't mind me asking.

  27. I notice the bald guy wonder staying out from underneath & whatever is in the copper box it wants OUT. Pretty good for the first test flight.

So this is a traditional drone, right, Like a flat head at full song.

  30. When you said unprofessional I for sure thought we were gonna get an eye full of Tardel's hind end when he was hunched over.
