So, I got my 58 4 door Delray so here is my frankensense mind at work. I originally planned on using a newer 4200 in my car since I want extensively travel but now I am thinking about transplanting the body on an GMC envoy or Buick Ranier chassis sans the belly pan, converting to 5 lug via adapters and building what would look like a late 50s Kustom with everything electronic...gadgets and all hidden. But 2wd or AWD is the question. Any thoughts? No BS about how I shouldn't do this though otherwise I hijacked the thread completely. I am actively looking for a wrecked envoy or Ranier to channel my body on. When I get my two door then I will worry about old school. I got the capability to do it. Just curious on thoughts.

Yeah, don't talk about late model body swaps on the HAMB. Best to delete your post entirely before a mod sees it. It's not part of the traditional hot rod & custom era the site focuses on, & getting this thread locked or deleted over your question will piss a bunch of us off.

Been rocking my 235 for a few summers now. 55 235 with 848 head, Edelbrock intake, Fenton headers, HEI, PCV setup, 251 Delta cam, Dual double barrel Webber carbs, T5 trans. Currently slowly building a 261 on the side to replace the 235.

Nice! Are those Rochesters? Did you have to do anything to convert them for blow through? Looks fun.

Thanks for the heads up on the FI units, diceman!
Also found Autotrend EFI is doing a Stromberg-style throttle body.

The Retrotec units are no longer available so I have been looking at the Autotrend units for another project. They are probably nicer than the Retrotec's, but they are very expensive. Autotrend also makes some Rochester 2G style units that are very cool. I guess I will keep looking for someone who has some old Retrotec units they want to get rid of.

...I was wondering why I couldn't find any info about them....
I didn't see the Rochester-style units mentioned at the website, only the Strombergs.
Will have to look again. Rochester-style Tbodies would be a fair bit more practical for the GM guys

I think the Retrotec units are the same ones that Mooneyes used on their EFI system many years ago.

Here is my contribution. This is in my 63 Falcon. Drove it from Texas to Toronto, Canada this summer. Ran like a champ!
