From above, there is a 1958 Murray Deluxe Ranch Wagon pedal car in this pile that I sure would like to see more of and wonder or not if it could be restored. I once had one--my first hot rod--and it would be so cool to have one as living room art.

Here is a 1948 Ford F2 I saved from the crusher. The previous owners drug it out of the woods. I am planning on starting on it once i get my 1940 Chevy running.

  16. Congrats on your save! That very same car (year & model), but in dark blue, is sitting outside in the neighbor's driveway across the alley from me. It hasn't run in years, and looks worse every passing year. Soon it will look like your field find. Best wishes to you bringing yours back from the dead.

Thanks! The owner was anxious to sell it and he said that wanted someone to fix up instead of seeing it rust away. It was collateral for a loan to his neighbor and his neighbor couldn't pay and gave him the car. Unfortunately the original 216 had a cracked block so I am going with a 235 six cylinder.

One of the last owners paid for the paint job with cases of beer and the guy who painted it was drunk at the time. The guy painting it had to be held up while he painted it. That's the story I was told when I bought it, lol.

So drunk he forgot to mask off the chrome! Better find someone more sober to paint this time around.

  21. I tried but could never quite talk this rancher into letting me build him a new section of fence....
his last reply... "I think you should stop worryin about that ol ford, I'd rather not be messin with that fence"

  25. That tow truck is sweet.

  26. If the '36 Ford is going to be a permanent part of the fence, I'd like to have the front bumper and bumper arms off of it, always thought a '36 bumper with the dip in the middle would go well with the grille on my '38 Ford pickup. Also would like to have the stainless headlight rims for spares. I have '36 car lenses and rings on my truck. '38-'39 truck headlight buckets are the same as '35 car, and '36 car uses the same bucket with a shorter mounting stud.

  27. I wish I had the time and money, to make a cool Kustom with this. Ron... 001.jpg 002.jpg 003.jpg
