Salty,I thought it was pretty cool that you caught the Les Paul photo....Never seen a picture of him playing a Fender Telecaster before though...:)

Kip,you just show up with a car to race instead of selling it,and everything will be fine...;) lol

Ummmm......I think I missed the memo here someplace Salty!lol!

No,I was serious....I've never seen a picture of him with a Tele, which was kinda cool to see,but the part that was cooler was that you were the only music lover on here that caught the reference:)

    Do you play?

I played the Bass back in junior high but it was never easy for me. My ears don't work so good after being a army brat growing up in Germany.
I seem to remember that Les was not happy with Gibson during his work on the electric Guitar and was going to jump ship but to see a picture of him at that age with one is rare.

I don't think I've ever seen Kip race a car twice in one year.

I know that his relationship was great with some Gibson presidents (Ted McCarty during the 50's/60's),and pretty rocky with others (the 70's Norlin-owned era).

Hope my motor turns out as nice as one of those old Kalamazoo-built Gibsons I love so much!:)

    Scott-

Maybe you should focus a little more on getting that 2,000 cubic inch ford motor complete than talking about guitars...there is a Meltdown rule that if you fail to bring your car two years in a row you are put on double secret probation.

Here is a little song I wrote for you that you can sign while playing your guitar...
    "Hickory Dickory Dock...
    My name is Scott...
I talk and talk all day
But fail to bring my car to play
Now if again I don't show
For the rest of my life I will eat crow"

    Jeff:
For the sake of your family,I am relieved that you have a day job to fall back on,because your song writing skills are,well....Shit. lol!

Love you Buddy. We're going to be making some side by side passes this year.I know the stars (and my clutch disc) didn't align last year to allow this to happen (my car never got finished, and yours ate itself),but this year we are both going to have lots of fresh parts in the drivetrain, and I'm sure this is going to be the best Meltdown yet.:)

Oh yeah, this is supposed to be smack talk, isn't it?Well I am bringing my 15yr old Son who has never driven a manual transmission car before....Maybe I'll put him in the car for a few passes.
Then you guys can explain to your buddies how you got crushed by the "Student Driver Car"....lol

Man I hope to get to come out there to this race this year. I have been buying up tons of 50s thru 70s car magazines up. I hope to set up a booth there.

Little Lakeshore shaker sitting on the corner
    eating his crow and crying
    checking his ET slip
    got the "Furious stomp"
saying "What a lousy reaction time have I"

You better have a few more mph in the ol Dodge this year, cause cutting a good light might not be enough to keep me from "freight train"-ing you on the top end Bob.

    Imagine Bob's Surprise
    When Right Before His Eyes
The Horse He Thought Was Waning
Was All of a Sudden Gaining!
And as They Raced Through the Traps
Bob's Lead had Turned to Craps!
As the Mustang Quickly Surpassed Him
All The Spectators Would Later Ask Him
"How Did The Shaker Reel You In Bob?"
But I Will Answer:"It Wasnt a Real Big Job"
For You See Bob's Mopower was No Match Indeed
For The Horsepower Contained Within the Shaker's Mighty Steed....:)

I think yo my self "That poor old Chevy....To be that slow, the thing must be awful heavy!"

That depends on a couple things:

    1) If we were on a canoe trip and you got raped by a hillbilly, would you tell anyone?

    2) If you answered "no" to question number one......Wanna go on a canoe trip...?

We now return to our movie of the week,"Deliverance",already in progress.Lol!

    Too much too soon....?

Do I need to keep working on those "boundary issues" we spoke about before....?
