There was a battery cut off switch in the rear for racing and the grill had a streetrod script on it

And the car had an early Holley efi on it w/a292 cam

  5. Probably no one is going to see the cam. I would look at all the local drag strips unless they sold it out of the Bay Area, a 10 second '38 sedan shouldn't be too hard to locate.

Yes it was sold out of San Jose ca

  7. I meant out of the bay area like in sold to a guy in Arkansas or somewhere out of the bay area. If it stayed in Nor Cal it should be easy to find.

  9. Well I have no idea where Big City is but I would suggest that you troll the NorCal tracks to find it, like I said a 10 second 38 shouldn't be too hard to find.

Was it strictly a Strip car or was it licensed for the street? It may have been de-tuned a bit, changed up a bit and put into street service.

Do you have (an old registration card) the license plate and VIN#'s, to have someone run it to see if it comes up? Do you have the name of the person it was sold to?
Many times, cars sell and stay local. Might be sitting quietly in a near by garage. Hopefully you find it. That would be really cool.
