Wow Jim, That is unique and what beautiful work you do! Mr. Customer must be ecstatic for what you have just done for him. Straight 10's sir! Thanks for posting this up.

If one didn't know better you think that seat was custom built just for that car! [IMG]

They came out of a junk yard. had a snake living in one of them, when I stripped them. Covered in pearl white by good friend Wayne Bowers. All trim came from junk yards. 59 Easel , Impala 51 Ford etc. .

  7. Nice theme Jim. The channel inserts in the diamonds give a great retro look! Headliner looks like it was a bitch to do

IMG_3679.JPG This is the back seat and quarters of my 59 chevy impala two door hardtop. My amazing girlfriend is starting an upholstery business and this is her first interior. She took my idea and made it reality!

Got the 34 back from Beachbum Jim yesterday and couldn't be happier! Jim is a rare guy these days, does a great job, sticks to his promises, gave a very accurate estimate going in and was easy to work with....

Back in 2012 when this thread got started it gave me the idea of trying upholstery for myself. For my chopped Model A sedan I looked for a long time trying to find a seat that was low enough because of the very big chop. I finally found these and this was my first attempt at upholstery, came out pretty good too I think. I must say I had a lot more trouble with the door panels than the seats. Just got this one finished up by the upholster this weekend. Real happy with it since the first round was bad, besides being really sloppy workmanship he didn't use the right color, what was suppose to be cream (the lighter shade used) he used bright white! Looked like sh--. It's a bitch to pay twice but at least we're happy in the end. DSC_0247.JPG DSC_0246.JPG DSC_0250.JPG
Don't know what's up with the pics, they look grey. It's really tan with a light cream insert and gold piping. Really

I know this is off topic, but it is traditional. See Avatar. It`s been done for 20 years, need to redo the front seat. Scan0131.jpg Scan0128.jpg
