Thanks for clearing that up Sancho, Mick, and Jimmy and also for providing the additional info and pictures...my 56 year old eyes playing tricks on me. What a work of art that is. Did that go fast machine ever pass by a motion picture camera?

They are both wire just a dark picture. That picture was from some that Jimmy B posted here somewhere. He got them from Givanine's son I think. My roadster is moving very slow. I'm building the major components so when they are all connected it'll be ready to go. I don't want to get it together and then have to rebuild the works. Here is a link to much of pieces I've gathered. New stuff still gets added sometimes. I need to start a build thread so you guys can shame me into getting it done.

I really dig the early S&G Roadster, and I plan to do something similar.

Six Ball, I really like what you got, and especially where you are going!

It's so cool that you wanna run a nifty little banger, that looks the piece.

I will run a 6 shooter, 4 springs, 3 carbs, 2 doors. It come very slowly too. I got a 1928 frame and Chevy Truck front Axle/Brakes, Nissan hard tail rear end. I also plan on running artillery wheels and maybe a belly pan.

I never would have thought a 35 grille on a 27t would look so right.

There was a picture on the HAMB, of a 34 coupe maybe red, with a 35 Truck grill, and a homemade hood that looks so good.

There is some different cars that goes against the tradition, and still comes out era perfect.

I took this pic in the 90's at a car show/swap in Buffalo. There is a chance it may have been Hershey, Pennsylvania. Long time ago but yes it was well done in a period of streetrod mania...

I can't imagine that someone on here doesn't know this car being this HAMB friendly.

Don't think so...probably New York. Some states don't need front plates. A car that nice is probably still around. Hopefully the owner too.

Ok, the racer is kool enough, but any clue as to the Victoria/5 pass coupe at it's right front? Look at that coachwork. Suicide door, "false" hood, skirts (maybe?). Help a brutha out...

It doesn't have skirts. I played with the contrast in Photoshop. It shows the tire pretty clearly. It also shows that the spare is on an artillery wheel. I added an arrow to the trafficator (semaphore). What U.S. cars of the 30s had them? I suspect it is a foreign car. Incidentally, the photo was taken in front of the old Beekman Hotel at 575 Park Ave.

I did see the artillery wheel, also caught the rear wheel (no skirt). I guess the year to be 1935-6 when the picture was taken. Looks like a 35 Dodge sedan behind the racer. I'm not totally sold on the trafficator. Looks like an odd reflection, but I'm not raising a right hand to it either way. I think the coachwork is stunning. And she's a big car too. Something "senior" whatever car line it is. I mean that to say something like a Fleetwood Cadillac vs the smaller Model 60 from 36-7, or a Packard Super 8 vs a 120. Not that it's either of those, she's just a big car. As I reply here I have a couple ideas. Hmmm, film at 11:00...

There was so many big autos back then...a model for every budget oh and those gangsters. So many car companies too. I am trying to find that pic again to see if there is any more telling detail. It was as you say the mid thirties. What a beautiful era for auto design.
