What would it take to have you come to North Carolina and do that chop to my 48 olds? (just wondering out loud. )

  2. Rounded the rear top corner on the door. Still have the passenger side to do and then there´s a lot of welding.

Excellent planning & execution. It is always good to see a skilled craftsman at work. Thank you for sharing.

Some people work with a canvas and paint and call it art. You, sir, are a real artist.

I am still always amazed at the abilities and craftsmanship of the classic car hobbiest in countries other than the US! And I mean that in the best way possible. I have never thought twice about cutting something up and using it to increase my skills. But most car guys I know are intimidated by the thought. Not you guys ! Great craftsmanship and an excellent eye for overall flow and design, Even if you did start with one of Rik"s Designs, you still need to put paper to metal!! Again VERY NICE!!! Larry

Thank you Pete and no problems. I don´t understand french anyway

    Thanks man

    Thank you very much

It sure saves some time to have a Rik rendering to work from. Thanks a lot.

    Thanks.

Kenneth, If I could have you around here in Mo., I would chop my car as I love the way your car turned out. Around here, I would be afraid that my car would not turn out the same as yours.

    Kenneth,
    I am loving your build.

Hope you don't mind, but seeing as a chopped '48 is my future dream early kustom, I did some photoshopping of your car as it NAILS what my future vision is.

    Enjoy!

Now, THAT was SLICK! Great job on the fabrication of the curve, and masterful application!
When I was 13, friend and I chopped his '31 Plymouth 3 window coupe. The oval back window looked like a football, with its non-radiused ends coming together.
I suggested some slots to 'round off' the errors, but he said, "This makes 'em see that it's chopped!" Looked 'less than professional'... :p

Above is the kind of detail work that separates you from the rest of the pack. Most would have just tried to work with what was there but your solution is so much better.

  24. Thanks for kind words . Some times I wish I was living in the US.

    Thank you

Thank you. Your Merc is coming along nicely too

That´s high praise. Thanks a lot

    Much appriciated.
    Thanks James. So do I
Unfortunatly I´m almost done with it but if the owner can send me pics of the progress I will post them here.

That looks nice. Hope your dream will come true

You was a bit younger than I. I was 15 when my father and I did my first project .

Thanks. Back in the days I would have fixed it with some pie cutting but I have learned that it will not take more time to make new pieces ( if one have the machines and tools reqiured for such a job) instead of all the welding and grinding time it takes to clean up pie cutted areas.

  25. Wow you really nailed that curve. Well done!
