Does anyone have some non metallic purple paint examples? If so can you post picture and paint code information?
Probably be more accurate if you go to a autobody supply store and look through their paint chips. You can get exactly what you want
Yep go get a color chip book and then try to pick from that. A lot of the fleet colors are non metallic.
go to a ppg paint supplier and look at their dark and dramatic series. there are purples in that series with no metallic
Personally I wish purple did not exist as a color, either that or that it was illegal to put it on a car. Punishable by severe public flogging and continual merciless ribbing from your friends
Awesome ! Larry, I had a purple Harley and never an ill word was spoke, so I guess it's just you buddy. Or just the purples you look at. Maybe you have bad cones in the old eyeballs
Check out Dupont Fleet Purple. I painted the frame on my 27 years ago with it after seeing a picture of Jerry Duncan's Deuce. It can be found in the Fleet color book at any Dupont dealer. Don
I agree, having a bunch of chicks drooling all over your car is a hassle. But I'm going with purple, I'll just have to learn to live with it.
ACME paint...fleet color. Sorry, I don't have the paint number . I'll search my shop tomorrow. I may have written it down in an old notebook ( painted it in 1987).
There is one purple car I get kind of nostalgic about. Allegedly painted by Larry Watson, which I did not know. http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-photo-...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
Yes Watson painted painted her T-Bird purple. But he went to her home to sell her his 57 Eldorado Brougham, her dad who worked at a cadillac said that car had to many things about that model that she couldn't buy it . But he had the dealership Put Watsons cad in the showroom and they sold it to a decorator, miss mouseteer got a bird and LARRY PAINTED it purple
If you wear the right(or wrong) outfit people will think your Prince. Lol I painted a truck I had purple before. It was really dark. I sat there with the guy at the paint store while he added toner to get the shade I wanted. Just an idea. I had a picture with me.
Purple color supposedly represents 'royalty and death', I can live with one of those. Ok, maybe just 1 of those.
Yeah, it's called , "Royal Purple". Back in the real old days the pigment for purple dyes was really expensive and reserved for those that could afford it like royalty.
