Does anyone have some non metallic purple paint examples? If so can you post picture and paint code information?

  2. Probably be more accurate if you go to a autobody supply store and look through their paint chips.
You can get exactly what you want;)

Personally I wish purple did not exist as a color, either that or that it was illegal to put it on a car. Punishable by severe public flogging and continual merciless ribbing from your friends :D

Larry Watsons reply when asked why he painted many of his cars purple? "Chicks dig purple".

Check out Dupont Fleet Purple. I painted the frame on my 27 years ago with it after seeing a picture of Jerry Duncan's Deuce. It can be found in the Fleet color book at any Dupont dealer.

I agree, having a bunch of chicks drooling all over your car is a hassle. But I'm going with purple, I'll just have to learn to live with it.

ACME paint...fleet color. Sorry, I don't have the paint number . I'll search my shop tomorrow. I may have written it down in an old notebook ( painted it in 1987). My Purple 32 Rdstr dash pic.jpg My Purple 32 Rdstr.jpg

If you wear the right(or wrong) outfit people will think your Prince. Lol

I painted a truck I had purple before. It was really dark. I sat there with the guy at the paint store while he added toner to get the shade I wanted. Just an idea. I had a picture with me.

Triumph called it aubergine. The metallic could be left out of the mix. 100_0773_resized.jpg Some call it eggplant.

Purple color supposedly represents 'royalty and death', I can live with one of those. Ok, maybe just 1 of those.

Yeah, it's called , "Royal Purple". Back in the real old days the pigment for purple dyes was really expensive and reserved for those that could afford it like royalty.
