Anyone using the "Deuce Raw" steel wheels made by the U.S. wheel Corp., and sold by Summit Racing? They say they accept 40-47 Ford hubcaps. Prices are very reasonable @ $65.00 for 5x15's to $112.00 for 7x16's. They are in Huntington Beach, California. Summit has free shipping for over $99.00. Thought I would post this before I order.

Didn't know a thing about them until you posted it but that sure sounds interesting for my Model A build and the price doesn't sound bad. It looks like Summit might be giving a pretty decent discount on them from the prices on the website.

Looking at the add some more I think you might have to run their caps and not oem caps or repro caps from one of the V8 Ford trinket suppliers.

That is something I was wondering about.....they list their 40-47 Ford hubcaps that fit, but do original Ford caps fit. Or are the caps they sell "special"?

I am running the chrome version on my 40 dodge and on my car trailer. Got them from summit and they are really nice for the price except the chrome is terrible. After a week rust shows through on the rims and caps! They clean up with some steal wool and I try to keep a coat of Gibbs on them.

I learned this the hard way, OEM caps did NOT fit my new aftermarket wheels, had to buy their caps. :(

Have you tried to put some old original Ford hubcaps on your U.S.Wheels?

I will run steel wheels with caps and rings on my 40 sedan build. From what I have heard there seems to be a problem with the currently available repro caps staying on the repro wheels available. My brother has trouble keeping repro caps on the original wheels on his F1. I think it might be best to buy wheels and caps from the same manufacture. I would use wheels itch or now maybe US Wheel. I had Wheel Vintques wheels and Drake caps on my 46 coupe and they were on there for many years. Guess things change.

I never had a problem with caps on my Wheel Vintiques from 20 years ago, but I hear complaints from some who have used them recently. Don't know if the wheels or the caps are to blame.

Didn't Coker buy out Wheel Vintiques? Seems like I read that somewhere.

  17. The last set of Wheel Vintiques I had weren't even close with stock caps or their caps. I finally built up "nubs" with weld that worked.

I called U.S.Wheels today, and was told the nubs on their wheels are for 8 1/8" hubcaps. Tomorrow I will go out and see what my hubcaps measure.

My 47 Ford repro hubcaps measure 8 1/8" for inner nubs.

Went on Coker site, and they state their hubcaps are for 8 1/4".

Anyone have some original factory Ford hubcaps they can measure.
