In my mini-trucking past, when I convertiblized my truck, I ground down the outer lip of the window channel about a quarter inch and then used camaro weatherstripping in the gap. It laps over the top edge of the glass slightly when closed. Worked great. I've been following from the start & really enjoyed the ride. Thanks for sharing the experience!

I'll have the paperwork, title and registered done by Wednesday. Now I need to find a car show to buzz this weekend!

The '37 drives tight and draws attention on the road. I'm entertain the idea of letting her go to fund a couple more projects? Not sure yet. What kind of value can be put on a unique hot rod? Opinions.....

  6. That was quick! Depends on how badly ya wanna fund the next project!

Did you ever fix your rear wishbones' mount?

It's kind of fun messing with the traffic. When I slow down everyone slows down, when I speed up I get a few trying to keep up with the'37 to get a look see. Way too much fun to drive!

Any pictures of the finished mount so we can see how much different it is than the mock-up ?

When I take a few pics of the undercarriage, I'll make sure you get one of the rear wishbone mounting bracket ;)

Reading the first posts, I was reminded of my shop when the 'unwashed' would enter my portals... "Oh, what are you doing HERE? I wouldn't do that..."
The biggest dipshits in town somehow found their way into my place of business...and shared their 'expertise'... never knowing they were toying with a 'sleeping giant'.
Finally, I see that the doubters met their match.
For all the 'typers' that responded wit negatives: "Told ja!"
Kudos for keeping your cool, your patience eclipses mine in 'light years'...

Thanks. The 1940 in my avatar.... my best friend was with me when I was considering buying it, he said that truck is way too rough to bring back, my reply that sounds like a bet/challenge. Who do you think won that bet? Don't hate the doubters, just make them believers.

Thinking of changing the wide five wheels to gloss black. Anyone have other ideas to make this Hot Rod look trick?

I kinda like the wheels to match the firewall.
    Would look good IMHO. :)

The firewall was done in Wimbledon white. That is an idea. Keep them coming.

Maybe Wimbledon white on the grille bars as well? Might tie it all together.

Can someone play with the wheel and grill color in Photoshop?
