So I'm getting my 53 chevy ready for summer and have decided to get my stock steel rims powder coated and I need some ideas for what color to go with. The car is the original horizon blue with some nice patina showing through. I'm leaning towards a cream color but idk if it goes with the patina. Thoughts?
Yo, I see your from Oregon!! Me too. Is your car a solid blue, or is the top a different color? Some of the guys I know, will put bright flaked rims on a car with patina. Its a good contrast of flashy with aged. My brother 53 Chev has patina and lumps in the body. It is factory dark green. He flaked the roof Gold and his his wheels gold. MAN it looks good.
I was going to say cream or eggshell white. The old Daytona Blue off the 63 Corvette is a very dark blue, it may work also. Just my 2 cents.
Like the others said, white or possibly the Daytona blue. That is a very nice dark blue and may match well.
I thought cream by just looking at the color of your car even before I read any farther, subtle and classy too.
its a 210 all blue. heading to the coater now. thinking cream for now if i dont like it it can always get changed right? thanks for the input!
Just got them back and on the car today I'm pretty happy with the color Sent from my SM-G900V using H.A.M.B. mobile app
