Way to go, Jim. Thanks for your helpful posts too. Lots of HAMBer's in those Virginia hills including me, if you need anything. Good luck, cops all over Rt 81.

  3. Have a nice road trip Jim. I'm only 1 mile off I 81 if you need anything. You have a perfect truck for road trips. Maybe you can hop off 81 and take old route 11 on your return trip. You wont lose much time but there's a lot to see. Not so much on 81. Hope you win the Robot fight. Post photos, as I never seen that before. But sounds like a lot of FUN! Thanks Ron...

When you come through Arkansas, little rock specifically, wave. Wish I could fire up the 46 and tag along...

Man, that is a good looking truck. It's looking like you might be just about out of the storm. Stay safe and keep up the updates.

Nice ride... perfect you can go 75 in that thing.
Stay away from US129 Tail of the dragon unless you want to do 300 turns in 11 miles! I found myself on that road when i went from California to South Carolina. Not cool in my shortbed gmc pulling a uhaul. Fun road though.
    So climb! Keep goin up!
Road is just south of Knoxville so you wont be close to it off of I40 unless you want to be. :)

So you get to open the hood on this trip? And there probably aren't any 1/4 mile speed contests? Or do you race the robots instead?

I have to add oil to this one.

Made it thru another state, now I'm on the east side of the big River.

I also saw another old car.

Can we get a sneak peek of the robots? Good luck in the competition, and on the road trip. Thanks for taking the time to post on the trip.

I see this in not a fighting robot competition, so what are you getting judged by?
