Here is arguably the ugliest car ever made: the Citroen Ami.
I tried to smooth out the ugly, but develop the Citroen space-agey looks. citroen-ami-7a.jpg citroen-ami-7-02.jpg

Hey Moose, can you try these wheels on this version? Thank you for all your time! Paul image (5).jpeg kidney bean pin drive.jpg kidney bean 16 x8.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1432259257.843696.jpg 444 s.jpg

  7. I like Sunbeam-Talbots. Did this one up as a sort of imaginary LeMans coupe version.

Here´s a Vauxhall Cresta for you...

    Did this Austin Sheerline recently.
Original for comparison (as nobody here knows what the hell one of these is!)

I`ll have a think about the others.

The old Chev. looks good thanks to you! Wish it were this far along. I may have you try these wheels on another version as well. I was just thinking that with the Jag susp., weber carbs, etc., these wheels may fit the theme better than the Halibrands. Thoughts?

How about 5 spokes like you have on your '32? Thanks much!

  14. Paul, Here it is with the torque thrusts...For some reason your car seems to be begging for the slotted wheels...

I like your version. You can never go wrong with Borrani wire wheels on a convertible!

JamesD: I love the fastback Sunbeam Talbot. We owned a '55 ST Alpine roadster when I was in high school. I could never understand how the sedan looked so frumpy when the roadster looked so good!

And the Austin Sheerline custom version is perfect. They turn up here periodically as wedding cars, usually with the Austin grille swapped for a RR or Bentley.

  19. The ST Alpine is lovely. Really one of the very few cars that you wouldn't want to change a thing on.
My folks had a Citroen Ami Super!

  25. It´s one of very few four doors where you don´t have to stretch the front doors. And looking at the shape of them, that´s a very good thing!
I also moved the front wheels forwards, raised the front wheel arches and leant the rear deck forwards to make a better coupe shape. Those are `39 Merc headlamps btw

What is the last car on your list Epy? A Lanchester?.

    I have a thing for Packards. I wonder how a '35 Packard 120 grill would look on a 28-29 Model A Ford? ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1457399555.731212.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1457399573.499285.jpg

  27. It would take a heck of a lot of fabrication...

Man, you do good work. Would you mind putting a pair of 682 headlights on a dropped bar? Also loose the bumper and horn. It could use a three duces setup on the engine. While I'm dreaming, a chopped top. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1457403189.071487.jpg

That big Packard grill might look better on something like a 35 Ford pickup. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1457408207.727717.jpg
