    i need a set of those fancy valve cover wing nut hold down thingys. anybody know where i can get a set?

    I bought it at a swap meet, I'm pretty sure that it has the correct threads for a Y-Block valve cover.

    Offenhauser used to sell them but they discontinued.

    I knew it was a valve cover nut when I spotted it because of the fatter body.

    I'm going to run a pair of finned Edelbrock valve covers on my open engine RPU.
    I had a hell of a time finding a good set of those valve covers in the first place, so there is no way I will run a wing nut style hold down that would make stealing the valve covers a fast and very easy task. :eek:

    Chop olds, is that the temp sending unit in the water pump housing? That is where I had to put mine.

    Yes, it is. Don't know if it's correct for that year car/engine, as it was a complete mash up of parts.

    Sorry guys... forgot to post dyno results. Here we go again... 956,4 hp @ 6300 rpm and 1164 Nm (858 lbft)@ 5400 rpm.

    Greetings Y BLOCK guys!,I love the sound of a single exhaust y block and was wondering do they maintain that unique sound with duals?...also that twin turbo beast on the Dyno made my pants fit funny!
