Outstanding ride, love the color combo. Keep up the great work.

  5. I went to autozone and just looked thru the molded hoses. This one fits really good. I am not sure what it's off of but I will give you the part number if you would like.

    Yes number please.
Curious about fitting diameters, same both ends?
In the photo, the Zip's end appears somewhat larger dia.
Is the intake nipple 5/8 or 3/4"?
    Thanks

  7. Hey Denny,
Part number is Dayco B87618. It's a 5/8" molded hose. I installed a short 5/8" fitting in the intake and lubed the end at the water pump so it would fit the 3/4" fitting on pump. Hope this helps,
    Jim

Perfect, thanks, just what I needed.

  10. Got the roadster running and broke in the cam. Been doing a lot of detail stuff and trying to tie up a lot of loose ends. Ended up buying the dynamat dynadeck for the flooring. I think it's gonna work well for a driver.

I think the guys from the club and I are gonna skip it this year and hit the Pure Vintage Racing event. Your belly tank was over the top amazing last year. You guys are producing some really quality hot rods. Hope to see them in person again in the future. Keep up the good work. Very inspiring.

  17. We will definitely make it up to a pure vintage event this year. Not sure if we will be able to do trog this year either. Thanks for the compliments, always great to see your projects!

Jim, the car came out nice and I'm sure will be lots of fun to drive. What color upholstery?

  19. Hey Lynn,
Picked out a dark maroon leather for the upholstery. Thanks!

Thanks for ALL the updates. I like the idea of you rebuilding this hot rod the way you want it. The colors look great. I really believe Baskerville would call this a "BITCHIN" ride................

  25. Thanks, when I talked to Pete the first time he said build it the way you want, it's your car! I like to think of it as the evolution of an old hot rod. Just a new chapter.

Neat car! Looks like a well detailed build. I don't know how I missed this one!

  27. Backed the roadster out of the shop this morning and did a test drive In the parking lot. Feels like an old friend and that I have driven it before! Ready for the warm roadster weather to come now!
