Starting here: Henry J 2.0 This is how she sits ATM. I intend to go in and redo it for weight reduction and to be set up NHRA legal. I take delivery on it on Monday. Let the fun begin

  8. Imo, Henry J cars are sick. Really rare around New England; saw my first one at a show last year. Keep up the good work, cannot wait to see how fast you can make it!

  13. I'm diggin' that front axle. You made the right choice. J 1.0 was a P.O.S.

  14. The second one, not the "Rusty Scupper"

Can you give some details on that front setup? I'm about to start gathering front suspension parts for a '53 and haven't decided which design I like best yet.
    Thanks

There was a complete Henry J, stock, solid car for sale at the N.E. Dragway Swap a couple of years ago for $5 grand!!!! I wanted it so bad I coulda cried!
Another time ( same place) a guy had a Bantam bodied altered for sale , SBC,, same price, with a trailer!!! Nothing fancy, homebrew, but it ran consistant times ( 10's) and didn't break! FUN!
Everyone needs one of these- it's good to scare the shit out of yourself once in a while!

Nice car(s), have fun, play safe, go fast.

Pulled the rearend out of her tonight (THe 8 3/4 didnt come with the car) and put my wheels on. Sort of. The fronts are just pushed on the front stud tips because its the wrong bolt pattern. so they will actually sit about an inch and a half further in. also i CAN move the rears in about 2 inches . I think it will look pretty tough.
