Event Coverage HUGE Car Auction in Tulsa Feb. 25th!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by critchdizzle, Feb 7, 2016.

  1. A buddy of mine is buying a house in Tulsa and is having an auction to sell off the 100+ cars on the property. Some are O/T but there are quite a few 30's-50's Fords and parts, a few old boats, and even a couple of Studebakers and cars I don't recognize. I probably won't be able to go myself (and if it's anything like the one this company did that I posted about last year, it'll be pretty crowded) but I figured I'd post about it in case anyone else is able to go.

  5. Sheeez' .... anyone click to all the '36 Ford spare tire rings ? Or the '32 Ford front header and cowl, or the '32 Ford 2 door rear, or the '35 Ford coupe, or the '40 Ford Coupe, or the pallet of axles, or the pile of banjos, all the Model A bodies, or the roadster quarter and pieces, the Phaeton or sedan convertible, the finned valve cover road draft tube covered and complete SBC ? I had to quit clicking .... it's in @3wLarry 's backyard. Almost in my backyard .... but oh well. To the victor go the spoils.

I took the tour start to finish, what a lifetime collection! I wonder how they plan to sell stuff, walking auction of the vehicles as they sit, box lots of things, so much stuff, pure scrap and savable stuff. My picks are the 2 '40 Ford Coupes, the FISK tire kid statue, and all the Harley bits. Bob

Wow, some pretty swell stuff there. I'm pretty close too.

  14. Yeah, the people running the auction actually go to my parents' church and do a lot of auctions in the Tulsa area. I don't remember where I saw it but I did see they'll have 3 auction rings going. Haven't been to any of their estate sales or anything like this but I know that sometimes when they have a ton of stuff they just lump a lot of it together, so somebody may be able to get a real haul here. Though with as much as they advertise in the area, you may have to show up with a couple wheelbarrows of cash. Wish I could go myself, have to work though.

  15. Hey Larry, did they kick ya outta the hospital?

Holy jeez, that is a ton of shit. If it's anything like the last auction I went to, the signs and the premium cars will go for big cash and the rest will go for pennies.

3 auction rings would drive me nuts, it's hard enough keeping track of what is selling with one guy!

I'm very curious to see how this goes, would love to hear a report back.

Any idea how many days they plan to spread it out over??? I may need to drive down for this one...

  25. One day only. They usually package quite a bit of stuff up and sell it as a lot so they can get it all done in a day. I can't be there because of work, but I know several from here are going.

  26. Went by there today and they've got all the cars and parts lined up outside I stopped and looked at a few of the cars (mostly shoebox Fords, but there's something for just about anybody there) and parts. Here's a copy of the sale bill with the list of everything there:

be sure to take pics & post here & some of the prices stuff sells for - one of those deals that even if you do not go to buy ya gotta go to look - will be a busy place

  28. I won't be going, but maybe @3wLarry or someone who goes can let us know how much stuff goes for. If it's anything like the last one they did at the Mayes County fairgrounds, you'll need a few wheelbarrows full of cash.

I am not going to be able to be there  I have money to buy a '40 Ford coupe, too. Oh well, if someone else wants to buy one for me, I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a '40 Ford Coupe you buy for me on Thursday :D
