Can anything this beautiful be this bad? I met Lance in 1989 and this car burned a hole in my brain.

He needs a fully blown hemi , stuffed with the biggest pistons, cam and valves that will still let him drive it on the streets.:D

  18. There is a big difference between a poser looking coupe and a truly bad ass track proven coupe. Let's see some time slips to back up all this bad assness. I dont think too many here will make that cut. For me to truly make the cut it has to go fast. Otherwise you might as well put a old coupe body on a Prius chassis and drive train and call it good. Today not many hot rods are very hot. All show and no go. It's a reflection on today's society were all the little league kids get a trophy even if they didn't earn it.

  21. racer-x; I like your total package and understand Nitro Racing. I would like to know what all you have to do to go from 6 seconds on the Track to mild mannered enough to deal with street traffic and stop lights.

Get out your check book, divorce who your living with, give away the kids, model it after any one of the 33/34 Ford fuel coupes of the past, put your heart and sole into it, and go for it. Doubt you can make a 36 as wicked appearing as those super bad ass FC's, but hey who knows? This is the hot rod go fast, think later world we practice our witch craft in. [IMG]

This one has always done it for me! A nice mix of Hot Rod & Custom.

  25. the et slip was posted sunday along with a full sequence of photos from the pass on my rebuilding after the crash thread. to go from street car to race car the air filter is removed. the tires are changed to slicks. the fuel pump is engaged. the nitro tank is topped off. engine diaper put on. muffled zoomies exchanged for double wall non baffled zoomies. put on the fire suit check the tires and go. to reverse the process all the above is reversed with the addition of a head retorque and lash adjustment. the oil is changed and the filter cleaned. on drag week we then hook up the trailer and go for a ride.

  26. I can see you have your program handled. Hat's off to ya, only wish I had it in myself to follow suit. To many irons in the Fire and my calendar is to short to add more to it. What are you running for a Gear Box?
