Wow cool story! Looks to be really solid, and looks like you guys are putting work in already. Looking forward to the build.

No it's not a kit. It was built and still needs insulation and it needs wired up with the lights and it's pretty big

  14. Sweet truck my favorite first vehicle I bought was a 1955 chevy 1/2 ton step side short box. Still have it in price all over my barn it will see the road again. It's great that you guys are working on these trucks together. My wife is part of the car world and that's why I chased her in high school. And the old Hambers need to see the young crowd working on vintage steel. There is so many threads about the kids these days not getting into hotroding. Well keep up the good work and remember pictures are king around here. We love to see progress pics.

He's a great teacher for sure! He's taught me so much over the years:) I got hooked from the movie outsiders. I seen the cars and got interested not to mention our towns annual lastrun car show! Then when I was a freshman I coulndt get this little 8th grader to stop talkin to me and now here we are building trucks together:) I love my life for sure

Does my old heart good to see a beautiful young lady working on her own truck project. I have a 57 Chev. pick up also, had a 53 but sold it to an Australian fellow. Love pick ups.

I built a 55 several years ago. Did pretty much the same thing you are planning. Subframe, nova rear, 350 with a comp 280 cam they have a very nice Lopey idle. You will have a lot of fun with it. By the way my license plate was CLA55IC

So glad to see young people in the old car hobby. Good to see you and your boyfriend have the old trucks. I love the 55 to 57 chevy trucks. I have two friends with them. Yours looks like a solid start. Good luck with the build and enjoy the build.

I know how excited you are to get this thing off the trailer and just start looking at it from every angle, and imaging what all you want to get done with it, and none of it happens fast enough! Good luck with your project! I will be following along!
