2015 trophies.jpg disc-ladyluck-1.jpg trophy-color-1.jpg I'm humbled by some of the talent on this post. Awesome stuff that has me thinking. I do a lot of hand painted art on automotive parts and pieces. Thanks for the post. Gary

Had a couple hubcaps get kicked in while my truck was parked one day. A trip to a woodworking store and 20 minutes with a drill was very therapeutic.

I had a muffler laying around that fit real nice on the kids go kart. A lot quieter now.

  19. I wasn't going to post this until its done, but I'm going to anyway.
After seeing what's been done with Model A grill shells here, the one that was hanging on my shed wall started calling out to me.
Well not really, but after wondering what to do with the traffic light glass that @37hotrod sent me, he sent me the grill shell too, I decided to combine them.
I'll put some type of flashing light behind the glass, and will include a clock and other automotive stuff. IMG_20160121_152338.jpg IMG_20160121_152437.jpg IMG_20160121_152519.jpg

I'll update pics as I get it done, purists won't like it, the grill shell may get cut, but we're hot rodders, right!

Neon clock face, outlined with a ribbed trim ring, set inside a motorcycle tire. A 32 commercial grille with unknown headlight bar and buckets. I trimmed some aluminum brooder lights to fit inside the buckets. garage art.jpg

COM-3.jpg I dug some louvered industrial panel out of the company dumpster and used a spare grill shell I had. Next will come the one-shot and it will be cool wall art. Gary

Here's my clock, I'm getting it ready for paint. I made it from a $5 clock from Walmart, a Model 'A' 3rd member and will have it bolted upright on a torque tube. DSC01458.JPG

  26. Update: got plywood cut and bolted in with stainless dome bolts.
I've also got some gauges to go through to see what'll work. IMG_20160127_140737.jpg IMG_20160127_140801.jpg

This was made in our IMG_1895.jpg IMG_1901.jpg IMG_1905 (1).jpg garage but not by me. My wife and step son both do metal sculpture and this is my stepson's latest piece, note that he laments that in our stash of car parts there aren't more broken gears to repurpose.

I liked your lunch box idea so much I shamelessly swiped the idea. I'm going to give it to my buddy with a 55 T'bird.

    Thanks for the idea
