Yep when it comes to kustoms. Gasser are another story though, pretty tough to beat a 55 chevy for a gasser build

Dude, you made me bust out laughing on that one. I use the original transmission pushbuttons for other functions now: line lock, ejection seat, machine guns. You know, the normal stuff.

Hi, Now don't go hating me cuase I did mine differently OK. It had a crashed right front, the frame was bent so I used a Camaro clip. It fit nice. Since I had a Camaro clip I used a 73 400 Chevy sm blk bored .030 to 406. It uses 5.7 rods to help it along. It has a 700r4 and a 69 mustang 9" with 3:89 posi. I removed the badges just to make people guess what it was. I've had a bunch of strange guesses for sure. The rest remains pretty much stock 55 Belvedere except I used 56 corvette Venetian red vinal to sew up some rolled and pleated covers. I have to say it has been a blast to have something as unusual as a '55 Plymouth hotroded.

  16. I don't know who owns this one, but whenever it shows up at one of our shows I have to admire it! Real nice mild custom..

The Titus Bros.' Plymouth always merits another look.

I'm giving my 55 to my oldest for graduating high school. He is training to be a fire fighter. This will be great for both of us.....time together wrenching, and keeps a young guy into hot rods.

Not sure if my car quite fits, technically its a 53-54 Plymouth with 56 Plymouth front and rear panels from factory. This one is heavily customised and has a mix of 53/4 upper guards and 56 lowers, a 2 inch chop at the front and 2 and 1/2 rear, 2 door conversion (originally only available as a 4 door).

Unfortunately its been languishing in the shed waiting for me to have the time to get back into her but there are a fair few other modifications planned. IMG_20150429_111719844.jpg

That looks like a good start on a great looking and unique custom, ehdave. Keep at it.
Just getting it all in primer would give you a real boost!

Thanks guys, I cant take all the credit. Scratchbuilt on here had a huge hand in the build over a six day period (that pic is the last day) after a journey of about 1000Klm's (no idea what that is in Miles)

Having it in primer at least would be nice but there's still a lot of welding to be done at this stage, hopefully I get the wife's OT car finished soon so I can get back into it.

Haha, your right there Brand Apart. Funny enough Johnny Cash gets a lot of air time in my shed. We ended up calling her Shelly in reference to Mary Shelly's Frankenstein.
