The "Big Three" should be coming up, a big three day swap & show.

socalcarculture.com might help - there is a current thread started from Denmark asking about this too.

There is the Car Museum at the Quad Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Blvd Strip. Go on-line and print out FREE admission tickets, otherwise it's $12.50 per person at the door. The museum is located on the 5th floor of the parking garage, in back of the Quad Casino. I strongly encourage you to park your car next door at the Harrah's Casino self-park garage and take the shortcut walkover bridge directly from Harrah's garage to the Quad garage, then take the Quad elevator to the 5th floor. For the first timer visit give yourself about 90 minutes to take-in everything. Also, go to Fremont Street at night and watch the overhead light show at the top of each hour. This is a VERY COOL EXPERIENCE to see. Good luck and have a good time.

Automotive museum in Balboa Park, San Diego, theme changes every 6mo or so and I don't know what is currently there.

  9. "The Big Three" swap meet in February is definitely a good one. It is put on by the Early Ford V8 Club, the Chevrolet club and the Horseless Carriage Club? How about more info: dates (are they flexible?)? Are you landing in San diego or somewhere else and driving? Are you going to be traveling with some that has non car interests? What type of cars are you interested in?

Find yourself an In N Out Hamburger stand in Southern California or Las Vegas. Very tasty!

  13. X2!
    Also, as I recall:
    1) Most of the cars in the museum are also for $ale; in case you get lucky and want to spend some of your winnings...
    2) There's a cash bar in one of the museum's galleries. ;)
