Put a 12 volt battery and some.new fuel in it and it fired right up.. I'm going to just convert it to 12volt. 6 volt is trouble hahaha Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
A lot of people install an 8 volt battery in them without having to deal with gauge and light adaptation.
Did the car sit too long with alcohol gas? If the vapor has left the fuel, it won't start. try just a bit of fresh gas in the carb. Abe

I remember cutting the leather tongue out of an old pair of shoes to put into the fuel pump actuation lever to make the pump actuation rod think it was a little longer. The rod rides on the cam and it wears down after a while. The result is little or no fuel coming out of the pump. Might want to check that.
In the old days a 3/8 by 3/8 flathead would start on 6 volts they just din't turn over very fast. A small washer in the pushrod cup on the fuel pump will also take up some of ware.
If all are correct (condenser, points, coil, battery, advance, fuel, sparkplugs,...) it fire up good 6volt. If not sure that all are good condition or right installed 12V is easy choise. I had in my ex. roadster 6V and worked OK and very good after bolted on Harman Collins magneto (recoiled). Little spark, little gas, little compression, What else 4stroke engine needs,... Now a days those 12V to 6V converters are easy to install (gauges) and cost is few dollars.
My Dad was a flathead lover forever. As a small kid, I remember him always having to replace the coil on those things. Good luck.
