First time I read this I focused on the quick-change. Now I noticed the quarter elliptics and the Chevy bars. That sure goes back to the day. How do you like it?

Hey norm I like the suspension it works real well and best of all it was cheap lol and yes it's actually all from the 60's I added the watts link because it didn't have anything and since I drive this a lot I felt it needed it real bad

Appreciate the pics on the chassis when you can. Got my 53 up on the lift today and I can see why these were rot-ridden cars. Mine looks great, understand now why all the mods to the unibody...!

  11. So how do I do this, in 1942/43 the Willys cars were ended and Willys started building Jeep for the War, then in the early 50's the Willys car came back. In my Book that is what Willys are all about, and that is What This Thread was meant for. Anything that had Jeep on it, Are just that and I didn't really want to know who own's any of them. Being a mechanic all these years has turned my feeling about Jeeps totally Off, Jeep stand for Just Everybody Else's Parts and are a total pain In the _____ to work on and really fall into the 4 wheel drive catagory of vehicle. Yes I know they made two wheel drive Jeeps, but that is what i said in Post 29 and I did say Willys are Willys but Jeeps are Jeeps also and that is not what I was looking for in this thread. But since you have posted I guess we will have to live with it, No hard feelings but that is why we post, so people read each and every post not just look at the Pictures. You haven't taking my birthday away from me, LOL so we will live with it. You said how about a flat fender well when I think that it come to my mind as a Jeep, which I understand was built by Willys but it is a Jeep. So please forgive me if you feel different then I do. I hope this does shed any prejudice toward anyone. Thank you Just read the post and then everyone will understand. I am sorry if this upsets any one. I am sure I will get some feed back on this, but Jeep's were built by Willys in the beginning but have change hands to many times and that is why I feel the way I do.

  16. I'm not going to say I am sorry for my last post and the gentlemen with the Jeepster did not have to remove it from the thread , but I did want to make the point that this thread was for Willys Cars. I guess I'm wondering have all of the H.A.M.B. Willys owners posted their rides, has this thread become a dead thread for a comment that was made or is it still up and going. I was hoping to at least hear some feedback on what happened. I am hoping that I didn't sower things by bring this point across.

  17. There are many more still out there and I stand behind what you said as I agree with what you set the tread up for. I was worried it was going to turn into a post any Willys photo you have tread but that only happened once. Hope to see many more currently owned by our Willys car members. JW

Great post. I have been lucky enough to own 4 willys over the last 20 years. In 1986-87 I had a 37 coupe with 41 front, all steel. It was an old race car and had been on its top at one time. I sold it to a guy in Michigan. I would like to know what it looks like now and if it is a race car or put back on the street. I have a 36 pickup, all stock. Not sure what to do with it. Race, restore, or street rod.

  22. Photos of the pick-up please. JW
