Here are a couple of pictures of my 1930 Model A Ford at the 1965 Detroit Autorama. I towed this up on a trailer behind my 1964 Falcon Sprint from suburban Trenton in an awful snow storm. Why are there not other pictures from the 1964 and 65 Autorama's? My Pictures were taken by the "Official" photographer O'Conner Studios of Detroit. I live in Oregon now and am still working on cars as a hobby.

Thanks for the Michigan fair grounds photos. The Cobo Hall show phots are nowhere to be found. I think people forget that both shows were pretty popular then. THS 1962

  4. Thanks for jogging my memory about the two shows. That same site has a section on the 65 and 66 Autorama but they all appear to be from 66.

If you have any old pictures of Trenton with cars in them, how about posting them on the "Vintage shots from days gone by" thread.

Cool pictures, I grew up in Trenton, my folks still live there. I've never seen that sedan before, although I was only 3 in 65.

Here's a few downriver picts, some I've posted before. My dad's 35 Chevy std coupe with a 322 nailhead (initially lived in Gibralter), my uncle's 51 Victoria which was built in California and brought back to Brownstown twp. A picture from the Hot Rods in Dearborn site of the Dick Moraniec roadster which looks to be in Elizabeth Park. We pulled in from a garage in Trenton back in 83, my brother still has it.

Keep them coming guy's,.... I need inspiration this year. Seems every year the field of old Hot Rod buddies still here, Gives way to those not with us anymore,.... I'm sure our old pal Frank (FAB32) will be riding along with me this year in "the still of the night" along with a number of others that will be missed. I guess as the years go by, The Detroit Autorama is less of a Hot Rod Show to me, And more of a "family reunion".

So many people I miss,... But each of them comes back to mind during the witching hours in Cobo Hall. Lets keep this thread going this week,..... Share any old pictures you have from the years gone by at Autorama..... Maybe together we can make some new memories at this part of Hot Rodding History.... I hope to see you there.

Nice warm up for Dream Cruise. There must be more Autorama photos out there. You see people taking pictures all of the time.

Boy, that looks just like my street. Wonder where that is in LP? I went to school with Ron Szelesi, wonder if they are related?

Haven't found any other pictures, but am working on it. Happy to see some more added. 55 belairman, I can find out exactly where the picture of Ernie's 34 was taken, I know his daughter.

Cool, ask her if she is related to Ron. I am on Cleveland, still live in the house I grew up in. Lincoln is one street over, but not where I live. there is a large warehouse across the street from my house.
